Update – 11th February 2025: This scam was originally targeting those located in the US, but now looks to be targeting job seekers in India (and potentially other locations). From what we understand, this scam is present on Telegram and WhatsApp. Please follow the advice below.
We’ve been made aware of a WhatsApp scam where fraudsters are impersonating Loom Digital and targeting job seekers. Loom has been made aware of a cloned version of our website that is being used as part of the scam as well as spurious contact via WhatsApp or Telegram.
If someone contacts you on Telegram or WhatsApp claiming to be from, or associated with, Loom Digital and offers you a job, please do not reply and block the number. You can also report the scam to the platform directly. Please also be vigilant around any website claiming to be Loom Digital – carefully check any URLs before clicking.
Our team would never communicate with you via Telegram or WhatsApp or request any personal information or payment via any channel.
