Tegan is an SEO expert and will be taking on the Head of SEO role at Loom Digital. She has a wealth of experience across all the pillars of SEO, with a particular skill for the importance of content as part of a digital marketing strategy. She believes that a well-devised SEO strategy can not only boost your website performance but feed in and promote all areas of a businesses digital marketing.

Tegan’s career

Tegan started in the dawn of the SEO age and has seen it all, from keyword stuffing to terrible batch-spun content. In the last five years she has focused on the technical aspects of SEO, with a strong focus on how quality content is the foundation to all SEO strategies.

Tegan likes to focus on the strategy for a business that will offer value beyond its SEO. She specialises in competitor analysis, website structure and migrations. She enjoys getting to know clients and their businesses. If you get a chance, ask her about keyword research and her theory on Zebras and striped horses.

SEO –  from Dinosaurs to Artificial Intelligence

Having graduated in 2006 from University of Glamorgan with a degree in Theatre and Media, Tegan had her dreams of winning an Oscar dashed quite quickly when she realised it would involve years of waitressing.

SEO and digital marketing called and, during her first week, the huge Panda update was rolled out by Google and with her induction complete the world of SEO had already started changing for the better. Its ever changing rules and importance to modern business has kept her hooked.

Over the past 10 years, Tegan has worked in both in-house and agency-based SEO roles, and has experience in a wide variety  of industries, from ISPs and international tech firms to metal detecting and swimwear.

If she is not working you will find her…

Tegan is an avid rugby fan and played for Chipping Sodbury Ladies. She retired from playing in 2022 after realising that she doesn’t bounce back from the bruises as quickly as she used to,  and cider on the sideline seemed an easier hobby. Aside from rugby, she has two dogs Dobby and Tonks, known as the monsters that she enjoys walking to pub gardens or small cafes. The dogs also feel they are now employed Loomies and will very likely support all SEO strategies. She tries to travel as much as possible and enjoy everything that the world has to offer, with a big New Zealand trip planned for next year (sshhhh it’s her 40th).

“It is an exciting time to be part of Loom Digital and I am looking at continuing the excellent SEO work already in place and bring in new ideas to provide a bigger offering to all our clients”
