Wow – we only went and did it! Loom is so delighted to have won the Best Use of Search at the Wirehive100 awards on Thursday 12th October in Southampton.

And what an evening it was for the Loom team.

The Wirehive Awards took place at Southampton’s Guildhall, transformed for the evening into a glitzy venue, honouring the glitz and glamour of Hollywood’s Golden age. The venue was packed with a whole host of digital talent from across the south.

Each award category was hotly contested with some truly inspiring entries that highlighted digital innovation and creativity at its best. And then came our category – Best Use of Search – and eight other fantastic finalists. And then came the overwhelming sensation of hearing our name read out and heading to the stage.

We celebrated well into the night with Steve Wookey and Gregg Setherton from Permagard, the family business at the heart of our award entry and one of Loom’s first clients (we’ve been working together for over eight years).

Loom is super proud of what it has achieved with Permagard and the huge success of our multi-channel approach to digital marketing. The Wirehive100 award is testament to the quality of our work and close collaboration with the Permagard team. It was great to have Steve and Gregg with us for the evening and to celebrate the teamwork that has generated so much success.

Loom, as a small boutique agency with big ideas, and Permagard, as a small family business with big ambitions, the pairing is perfect. We both challenge each other to achieve bigger and better results – you can read more about the campaign here.

“We’re on such a high from the Wirehive100 awards. It was a genuine honour to have been nominated and to win was just something else. Our results for Permagard are something that we celebrate internally as they really do show the power of a strategic multi-channel approach to digital marketing. By targeting different user intents with unique tailored content across the paid, social and organic spaces, we have achieved great things. To get external recognition for our hard work is fantastic.”Tom Spooner, Head of Content & SEO

We want to extend our thanks to Wirehive and all the sponsors that helped make the night so enjoyable as well as the judges that saw the value in our entry. There was some really nice feedback:

“A really outstanding entry. Very well thought through at every level.”

“Inventive and well thought out integrated approach, clearly outperforming through a well crafted multichannel strategy.”

We were up against some really stiff company and are delighted to have won, joining a fantastic roster of digital talent. You can view the full list of Wirehive100 winners.
